low self esteem research

looking for aboriginal youth that can help with question?
Hi there…I am taking a course (I’m an adult that has gone back to school) that works with today’s youth. I am doing some research for a question. So…what are some factors that put aboriginal youth at the risk of low self-esteem? Would love some honest answers from those that know…i.e. youth of today.
Thnks.
Racism is the main cause. Knowing that no matter what your qualifications or what your experience is – when you arrive for a job interview – being aboriginal can mean that you won’t get the job (not that people admit to that). Going to parties and people tell racist jokes and think that they are funny, wondering why I am not laughing.
