self esteem problems

Do you think people who have piercings or tattoos may have self-esteem problems?
As one of my dearest contacts said “People who mutilate and scribble on themselves have serious self-esteem problems.”
I think I do agree with him that “Piercings and tattoos are very prolish” but why would someone with piercings and tattoos have self esteem problems?
also, do you think these people might get treated differently because of their piercings/tattoos?
Treated differently?
Well, not if they stay in the same circle of lowly munchkin truncated sawed-off miniwits their whole life. They won’t be treated differently. They will be good old boys and girls — members of the old gang.
But, should they ever aspire to anything higher, they will be ‘buked and scorned, oh yeh ‘BUKED and SCORNED.
They might just as well have prosthetic rubber ice-cream cones sewn permanently to their foreheads. Or maybe have their teeth filed to little sharp points.
By the way, some piercing holes never heal up fully, even when the kid grows up. Laser bleaching to get rid of tattoos is costly, painful, and not 100% effective. To have a formerly tattooed area be truly lifelike, you need a skin curetage and overlay, which means a plastic surgeon, and they start at around $10,000 for that kind of work.
So, if one is sure that one plans to live as a prolish squirrel thoughout the entirely of one’s life, and being “cool” for about six weeks among a bunch of half-developed embryonic miniwits is the essence of true bliss, then by all means go ahead get the tattoo, maybe even on your hands or neck, now that is “cool” — what a rebel you are, no cause?, doesn’t matter, whatever they’ve got, right?
But for persons who can’t lay out their whole life story right at this moment. Who don’t know what level of attainment they may someday achieve. Who have some hope for themselves, not just self-loathing and self-disrespect, I strongly suggest no tattoos and no piercings.
For party night, you can get a stick-on tattoo, if that would give you more confidence.
And don’t dress like a sl*t, and be home by 2:30 am sharp and without fail, OK?
(A little tartish is fine, just not streetwalker style)
